{"id":1469,"date":"2025-06-17T23:54:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-17T23:54:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kbyr.com\/?page_id=1469"},"modified":"2025-06-17T23:54:54","modified_gmt":"2025-06-17T23:54:54","slug":"navy-week","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kbyr.com\/?page_id=1469","title":{"rendered":"Navy Week!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-x-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:1000\">Navy Week! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/themoose963.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Navy-250-Yrs-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1617\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Navy Week will set sail for Anchorage, AK for the first time since the inception of the program in 2005, with a variety of outreach events scheduled June 16-22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s Anchorage Navy Week holds special significance as it coincides with the U.S. Navy\u2019s 250th birthday \u2014 a historic milestone celebrating a quarter-millennium of maritime excellence, national security, and global leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Anchorage Navy Week is the sixth of 15 Navy Weeks in 2025, which brings a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel to a single city for a week-long series of engagements designed to bring America&#8217;s Navy closer to the people it protects. Each year, the program reaches more than 140 million people &#8212; about half the U.S. population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">During Anchorage Navy Week, more than 70 Sailors, to include those with direct ties to Anchorage, will engage in education and community outreach events throughout the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m truly honored to take part in Anchorage Navy Week because it brings together two parts of my identity that mean a lot to me \u2014 my love for Alaska and my pride in serving in the Navy,\u201d said Cyber Warfare Technician 1st Class Olivia Nutter, a Palmer native serving with Cyber Strike Activity 63 in Maryland. \u201cBeing able to represent the Navy in my home community is something I\u2019m incredibly grateful for. Alaska has a strong military presence overall, but the Navy isn\u2019t as visible here, so it\u2019s exciting to help bridge that gap and share what we do.
